Jacques Attali is a French economist and futurologist who has served as special advisor to French President Mitterand and as President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He is also the President of the General Management Committee and the Supervisory Board of the Positive Planet Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to alleviate poverty. With a plethora of experiences as a professor, politician, and government official, he guides many international organizations with his extensive knowledge and insights.

 He has also published Dictionnarie du 21e Siecle (Dictionary of the 21st Century) and other books with analyses and predictions of future society, giving him a greater platform and reputation as a futurologist.  Jeffrey Sachs is a professor of economics at Columbia University and President of the UN Sustainable Solutions Network. As a long-time leading scholar in the field of economics, he has served as an advisor to such international organizations as the IMF, World Bank, UNDS, and OECD. Jeffrey Sachs built a reputation as a leading macroeconomist as he helped Bolivia navigate economic hardships in their transition from a dictatorship to a democracy. Thanks to his suggestions, its out-of-control inflation quickly stabilized to ten percent in just one year. Later on, he served as Special Advisor on Sustainable Development Goals at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, working on such problems as climate change and the destruction of biological diversity.

 The New York Times described his as “probably the most important economist in the world,” and TIME recognized him as one of “The 100 Most Influential People” in the world in 2004 and 2005. His publications include The End of Poverty, The Age of Sustainable Development, and The Ages of Globalization: Geography, Technology, and Institutions.

 John Robert McNeill is considered a pioneer in the study of environmental history. The son of renowned historian William McNeill, he first began studying environmental history after earning a PhD in history and working with ecologists studying the carbon cycle. Encouraged by historian Paul Kennedy, who was intrigued by his work, he spent seven years writing Something New Under the Sun: An Environmental History of the 20th-Century World, which was widely acclaimed in a wide range of academic circles and popularized the field of environmental history.

 In 2019, he succeeded his father as president of the American Historical Association, adding an ecological teleconnections perspective to his father's work and writing The Human Web: A Bird's-eye View of World History. He is currently a professor of history at Georgetown University, where he is dedicated to building academic communities and institutions for the study of environmental history.

 Ian Redmond is a British tropical biologist and conservationist. He’s renowned for his research and activities to protect wild gorillas and elephants in Africa. Redmond, who began researching mountain gorillas in 1976 at Dr. Dian Fossy’s gorilla research center, witnessed the death of a gorilla he considered a friend, Digit. After that, he became a conservationist of wild animals and their habitats and has been involved as a consultant in more than 100 documentaries on the environment on the BBC, National Geographic, and Discovery.

 Recognized early for his passion and expertise in conserving wildlife and their habitats, he served as Ambassador for the UN Year of the Gorilla and for the UNEP Convention on Migratory Species. He also served for more than ten years as Chief Consultant and Envoy for the UNEP Great Apes Survival Partnership.
