Gregory Mankiw is a professor of economics at Harvard University and has taught Ec10 (Introduction to Economics), Harvard's most attended course, for 14 years since the mid-1980s. Since its publication in 1997, "Principles of Economics," translated into 20 languages, has been a bestseller textbook for economics students worldwide, with 500,000 students reading his book each year. Anyone who has studied social sciences is familiar with his name.
From 2003 to 2005, he served as Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers under the George W. Bush administration and has also worked as a visiting professor at the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Actively participating in academic and policy discussions related to economics, he is regarded as one of the most influential economists in the United States. Additionally, he constantly communicates with those interested in economics by posting his thoughts on global economic issues on his blog.
