A comprehensive overview of the theory of multiple intelligences.
Dr. Howard Gardner, Professor of Cognition and Education at Harvard University and one of the most prominent education scholars alive, delivers the lecture Theory of Multiple Intelligences.
In order to dispel the long-standing myth that IQ is the only measure of comprehensive intelligence, Gardner created the theory of multiple intelligences in the 1980s, which posits that there are many different types of human intellectual abilities.
In his lecture, Gardner analyzes the limitations of IQ tests, which only account for mathematical and linguistic abilities to measure human intelligence, and proposes applying the theory of multiple intelligences to children's education as an alternative. The way he analyzes the intelligence of great figures in history to explain the possibilities of human intelligence is sure to pique the audience’s interest.
Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences scientifically diagnoses the irrationality of the IQ myth, still plaguing our society even in the face of AI and advanced technologies, and explores a new direction for education.
