Taiwan’s Minister of Digital Affairs and the Digital Roadmap

Civic hacker and Taiwan's first Minister of Digital Affairs

Envisioning the future and trajectory of digital technology, as shared by Taiwan's Minister of Digit

A formidable rival to the tech powerhouse South Korea, Taiwan created the Ministry of Digital Affairs and appointed Audrey Tang as its minister in 2022 to drive digital innovation. In this lecture series, Audrey Tang, the leading figure of Taiwan's digital policy, offers an extensive exploration of the future and trajectory of digital technology through the policies she is implementing.
The series delves into Taiwan's cybersecurity crisis and its counter-strategies. As Taiwan and the international community grapple with a surge in cyberattacks, what exactly is the 'zero trust' strategy that Tang endorses as a fundamental principle of cybersecurity? It also explores the concept of "Digital technology for the common good," examining the digital transformation policies and data altruism approach of Taiwan's Ministry of Digital Affairs, which emphasizes "digital resilience for all" as its key priority. Discover more about data altruism and its potential to foster an inclusive digital society.
